The government of Côte d’Ivoire has signed two non-binding memoranda of understanding with G42 Presight, a UAE-based tech company specializing in AI and big data, to support public sector digitalization and national strategy development.
The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the Ivoire Tech Forum, held in Abidjan from July 9–11.
The first MoU, with the Ministry of Civil Service, aims to support administrative reform and digitalization. The second, signed with the Ministry of Digital Transition, focuses on developing a new national digital strategy, as the current SNDN expires this year.
Since its launch five years ago, the SNDN has driven significant progress, including the deployment of 5,207 kilometers of fiber-optic cable, creation of e-government portals, and the launch of the National Cybersecurity Agency. The country also adopted a data management strategy to support its AI ambitions.
While the agreements are non-binding, they establish a framework for deeper cooperation. G42 Presight has previously worked on smart governance projects in Egypt and Rwanda. Côte d’Ivoire hopes to tap into this expertise to improve public service delivery, transparency, and state decision-making through data-driven solutions.
