Got a burning question about your gamerscore? Need a horror game that hits like your favorite slasher flick? Microsoft’s got your back with the beta launch of Copilot for Gaming – an AI-powered assistant that lives right inside the Xbox app on iOS and Android.
Rolling out now in beta, this new feature acts like your personal gaming concierge. Ask it about games you’re eyeing, dig into your own play history, or get tips on how to earn more achievements. It’s like having a gaming-savvy buddy who actually remembers your last “Starfield” achievement or knows exactly when your Game Pass is about to renew.
“On mobile, Copilot works as your second screen, so it won’t pull you out of your gameplay zone,” explained Taylor O’Malley, principal program manager at Xbox, in a blog post. Translation? You can get the info you need without missing a beat in your game.
Here’s what Copilot can do (so far):
- Answer questions about your personal Xbox account and history
- Serve up game suggestions based on your preferences
- Link you to deeper content about games you love
- Pull from your activity and Bing-powered public info to offer smart responses
Right now, the beta is available in English for Xbox users 18 and older across a long list of countries—including the U.S., Canada, South Africa, India, Brazil, Japan, Algeria Egypt, Libya Morocco,Tunisia and many more. (Yes, Microsoft’s casting a wide net, with plans to expand even further down the road.)
And this is just the start. Microsoft says more features are on the way, including proactive coaching and even more personalized help to boost your game.
So go ahead – ask Copilot that one question you’ve been wondering since your last boss fight. It’s already got the answer.
