OpenAI is rolling out major upgrades to ChatGPT for business users, adding cloud service integrations, meeting transcription, and support for deep research tools.
ChatGPT now connects with Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Box, allowing users to search across their own files to answer questions. For example, analysts can tap into slide decks and internal documents to build investment reports. These integrations respect company-level access controls.
Meeting recording and transcription features have also been introduced, generating time-stamped notes and action items. Users can query meeting content and even convert tasks into Canvas, OpenAI’s tool for writing and coding.
The updates position ChatGPT to compete with tools like ClickUp, Notion, and Zoom, all of which have added similar meeting features.
In beta, OpenAI is also adding connectors for tools like HubSpot, Linear, and select Microsoft and Google products. These “Deep Research” features let users generate detailed reports using internal and web data.
MCP (model context protocol) support is now available for Pro, Team, and Enterprise users, enabling connections to external tools for advanced workflows.
The move reflects OpenAI’s push to solidify ChatGPT’s role in the enterprise market. With 3 million subscribers already using its business products—up from 2 million in February—the platform is quickly gaining traction in the AI-powered productivity space.
