French consultancy Onepoint has signed a strategic partnership with the Moroccan government to establish a Data and Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence in the Casablanca-Settat region. The center is expected to create 500 jobs by 2029 and support Morocco’s broader digital transformation goals under the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.
The agreement was signed in Rabat in the presence of three government ministers and Onepoint founder David Layani. The center will focus on developing AI solutions for Morocco’s industrial and administrative sectors, with a strong emphasis on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
Onepoint, which began operations in Morocco in 2024, is aligning this investment with its global expansion strategy, aiming to generate €1 billion in international revenue by 2029. The company operates in six countries and employs 4,000 people worldwide.
The move marks Onepoint’s first major African investment and reinforces Morocco’s growing role as a digital and AI hub on the continent. Digital Morocco 2030 aims to create 3,000 startups, train 100,000 digital professionals annually, and drive $4.4 billion in digital exports, with a focus on nationwide AI adoption and digital inclusion.
