A second person has been arrested in connection with a violent protest outside a Senekal court last week.
The police confirmed on Friday night that the 33-year-old has been charged with attempted murder, public violence, arson, and malicious damage to property.
A group of Senekal residents, including farmers, stormed the courthouse where two suspects were appearing in connection with a farm murder.
It follows the arrest of farmer Andre Pienaar who was also caught for his involvement in the rampage that occurred at the local court last week.
A police vehicle was set alight and the court building was damaged.
