SA Reports 856 COVID-19 Cases

As the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 1 514 815 with 856 new cases identi­fied since the last report.

The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 9 114 026 with 23 753 new tests recorded since the last report.

A further 194 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 8, Free State 29, Gauteng 43, Kwa-Zulu Natal 80, Limpopo 15, Mpumalanga, 0 and Western Cape 12 which brings the total to 50 271 death.

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.

Our recoveries now stand at 1 433 320, representing a recovery rate of 94,6%

The number of healthcare workers vaccinated under the Sisonke Protocol is 76 037 as of 6.30 pm 2 March 2021.
