The Department of Health have confirmed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 559 960.
Testing Data:
The number of tests conducted to date is 10 181 143. Of these 26 165 tests were completed since the last report.
Deaths and Recoveries
Today, a further 67 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 8, Free State 9, Gauteng 28, Kwa-Zulu Natal 0, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 19, Northern Cape 2 and
Western Cape 1, which brings the total to 53 423 deaths.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 485 315, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
Vaccination Rollout
The number of health care workers vaccinated under the Sisonke Protocol is 292 623.
