The Department of Health has confirmed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified on South Africa is 1 443 939 with 6 141 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 203 584 with 47 345 new tests recorded since the last report.
The Department reported 528 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 95, Free State 10 , Gauteng 126 ,Kwa-Zulu Natal 195, Limpopo 16, Mpumalanga 23, Northern Cape 11 and Western Cape 52.
This brings the total to 43 633 deaths.
Our recoveries now stand at 1 284 781, representing a recovery rate of 89%
