The Department of Health have confirmed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 696 564.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 11 876 594 with 35 821 new tests recorded since the last report.
Deaths and Recoveries
Today, 45 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 0, Free State 16, Gauteng 7, Kwa-Zulu Natal 1, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 0, Northern Cape 15 and Western Cape 6 which brings the total to 56 974 deaths.
Our recoveries now stand at 1 578 033, representing a recovery rate of 93,0%
