The Department of Health confirmed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 470 516 with 3 749 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 436 569 with 36 250 new tests recorded since the last report.
297 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 49, Free State 40, Gauteng 52, Kwa-Zulu Natal 35, Limpopo 68, Mpumalanga 16, Northern Cape 2 and Western Cape 35
which brings the total to 45 902 deaths
Our recoveries now stand at 1 335 618, representing a recovery rate of 90,8%
