The Department of Health have confirmed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 686 041 with 5 668 new cases identified.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 11 800 313 with 43 137 new tests recorded since the last report.
Deaths and Recoveries
67 COVID-19-related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 4, Free State 23, Gauteng 24, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 0, Northern Cape 3, and Western Cape 8 which brings the total to 56 832 deaths.
Our recoveries now stand at 1 570 975, representing a recovery rate of 93,2%
