The Department of Health denies discouraging health care workers from disclosing COVID-19 vaccine side effects, according to a Denosa representative.
The allegation was made during a television interview with Newzroom Africa.
The department says it has established the complaints came from one private healthcare provider based in Gauteng.
It says it is encouraging vaccinated South Africans to report if they experience side effects.
So far, no serious COVID-19 vaccine side effects have been reported in South Africa.
