Advocate Dali Mpofu has stepped down as Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s legal counsel at her impeachment inquiry.
Mpofu says he can no longer participate in a probe that involves illegal activities.
He also complained about unfairness and left the inquiry with his team.
The suspended Public Protector is facing a probe into her fitness to hold office.
Mkhwebane says she did not instruct her legal team to withdraw from the probe.
