More Crime Surveillance Needed In Western Cape – Cele

Since March this year, 26 people have lost their lives in mass shootings in Khayelitsha alone. 

Police Minister Bheki Cele says he’s ploughing more resources and money into the Western Cape. 

But he says one of the problems hampering successful crime-fighting there is what he calls environmental design.

He says more CCTV cameras in poorer areas where crime is rife are needed.
