Government is concerned about the disparity in pay between top executives and those at the bottom.

New legislation is in the works that require companies to disclose what executives earn.

The Bill will amend the Companies Act to address high-paying executives.

Trade and Industry Minister Ebrahim Patel revealed this in his budget vote speech in the National Assembly.

Patel says this seeks to deal with the gross injustice of excessive pay.
