A couple was shot dead and their daughter wounded, when robbers entered their house on an estate near Olifantsfontein in Pretoria during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Emergency and security services were called to the scene just after 06:00. Allegedly the man was shot in the head and died on the scene. The women was shot in her chest and apparently still alive when emergency services arrived, but she died a couple of minutes later. The daughter was shot in her leg and airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The robbers climbed over the boundary wall of the estate and stole electronic devices from the house.
Provincial police and emergency services providers could not immediately be reached for comment on the incident.
