Eskom implemented stage 2 load shedding on Tuesday, from 12h00 until 22h00, after suffering multiple breakdowns at it’s power generation units.
Eskom notes that a further deterioration may escalate loadshedding on short notice.
The system will likely remain constraint for the remaining of the week, so Eskom urges South Africans to use electricity sparingly.
