Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, will know on Friday if she will stand trial for perjury.
She faces three counts of lying under oath.
The High Court in Pretoria found Mkhwebane had acted dishonestly in 2019.
This was during her investigation into an apartheid-era loan by the Reserve Bank to Bankorp.
The court also ruled her remedial actions were the product of an unfair process.
However, Mkhwebane says the charges are frivolous and contrived and wants them quashed.
