Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital will open partially on Monday.
A fire ripped through the facility in April, forcing its closure.
Only certain units are expected to begin operations from Monday morning, including the oncology ward.
Gauteng government officials are under pressure to get the entire hospital up and running to add to Gauteng’s bed capacity as COVID-19 cases in the province surge.
Meanwhile, 15,036 new COVID-19 infections have been reported in the last 24 hours.
Gauteng accounts for just over 9,800 of them.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) said 122 more COVID-19 related deaths were recorded.
