The displaced victims of several Cape Town shack fires are pleading with city officials to relocate them.
At least three people died in the infernos and 2,000 others lost their homes.
Fires recently broke out at informal settlements in Masiphumelele, Dunoon, Philippi and Khayelitsha.
During an oversight visit, Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi promised that government would look into more permanent solutions.
The City of Cape Town says it’s engaging with national government for more funding.
