29 More Deaths Bring SA’s COVID-19 Fatalities To 16,312

The Department of Health confirmed the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 668 529 with 1 480 cases identified.

The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4 117 079 with 14 917 new tests conducted since the last report.

The Department reported 29 more COVID-19 related deaths: 5 from Eastern Cape 5 from KwaZulu-Natal, 5 from Gauteng, 2 from Limpopo, 8 from Northern Cape and 4 from Western Cape. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 16 312.

South Africa’s recoveries now stand at 599 149 which translates to a recovery rate of 89,6%.
