The Department of Health has confirmed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 1 487 681 with 2 781 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 641 447 with 35 718 new tests recorded since the last report.
288 deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 26, Free State 24, Gauteng 166, KwaZulu Natal 23, Limpopo 4, Mpumalanga 16, Northern Cape 7 and Western Cape 22 which brings the
total to 47 670 deaths
Our recoveries now stand at 1 383 626, representing a recovery rate of 93%
