GAUTENG HIKES
All the trails offered are within one hours drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria. The trails offered in the Gauteng area boast a combined presence of more than 22 species of game found on these trails. It is a highlight and wonderful introduction for the hiker to enjoy the many facets that hiking offers the nature lover. The trails cater for both the day and overnight visitor, and is suitable for the whole family. The trails offer day trails from a central base camp. It is a by far one of the best ways to spend your time in nature, within a short drive from home. Mountain biking and 4x4 trails can also be enjoyed on the same farms.
HENNOPS HIKING TRAIL - Hartebeespoort Dam area/Pretoria/Johannesburg
In the heart of Gauteng, near the Hartebeespoortdam. Two day trails setting out from two case camps. Both trails meanders along the Hennopsriver and into the surrounding mountains game camp.
Length/Duration: First day 11,33 km. Second day 6.15 km.
Degree of difficulty: Easy to average.
Overnight facilities: Loeriecamp; 20 persons. Three rondawels. Electricity. Showers and flush toilets. Swimming pools Hadeda camp: 18 persons. Facilities as Loeriecamp.

KLIPKRAAL HIKING TRAIL - Heidelberg
In the range of hills extending from the Suikerbosrante. Typical Southern Highveld with indigenous flora & game.
Length/Duration: Panorama -13 km: Kraal -10 km: Noko loop - 3 km.
Degree of difficulty: Easy/moderate.
Overnight facilities: Stryfontein: 20 hikers, spacious kitchen, hot shower, outside flush toilet and pit toilet. Habitat; Restored milksheds with electricity. Accommodates up to 30 hikers. Three hot showers and flush toilets.

MABONZ GAME RESERVE - Rust de Winter/Warmbaths/Pretoria
A true Bushveld environment situated on the hills overlooking Rust de Winter dam. Pristine landscape. Game is quiet.
Distance & Duration: Network of 26 km hiking trail. A choice of trails ranging from 1 to 5 hours to suit every hikers' need. 30 km of 4x4 tracks.
Degree of difficulty: Easy to average
Overnight facilities: Thatched rondawel: Electricity, accommodates 20 hikers. Shower geyser) basin and WC in rondawel. Outside bucket shower and enviroloo. Safari bush camp Clearing for three vehicles only for roof or surface tents. One watertap. enviroloo and bucket shower.

WINDY BROW GAME RESERVE - Pretoria/Cullinan
The network of hiking trails on game farm suitable tor all hikers. More than 14 species of game Various habitat zones. Hot showers.
Length/Duration: A choice of trail lengths from 3 km -15 km to suit every hikers need.
Degree of difficulty: Easy to average
Overnight facility: 1. Base camp under thatch: 24 hikers. 2. Ndaba camp: 30 hikers. Both have showers and flush toilets. 3. Tentsite: Supply own tent and equipment. Pit toilet.
