Battles with Brits over places by the pool are forgotten. Now German tourists have a new bugbear: the Russian invasion in "their" holiday resorts in Turkey, a report said on Friday.

"The Russians are taking over our holiday paradise.... They are even worse than the English," mass circulation daily Bild thundered, citing Germans cheesed off with Russians "making themselves at home."

"Watch out! They push you out of the way (at the buffet) ... stuff their plates full, stink of alcohol at eight o'clock in the morning and don't know how to behave," the paper cites Ulrike and Toni from Freiberg as saying.

Another couple, Veronika and Holger from Side, said they changed their hotel to get away from the "annoying" Russians, while Emsa from Bodrum said the Russians' behaviour was "outrageous."

The paper also alleged that "thousands of whores.... so-called Natashas" fly to Turkey every year "and hang around in hotel lobbies" waiting to be picked up by Russian tourists.

Around seven million Russian tourists travel aboard every year, and according to Bild the "worst" ones come under two categories: "1. Hair all over, big stomach, tiny swimming costume, fat wife. 2. Wiry, bald, no shirt, loads of jewellery. Wife in a thong and high heels. Fake tits, fake blond."
