The new iafrica.com site is designed for a screen resolution of 1024x768 because research has shown that most of our users have computer screens that can support this resolution.

If you can't see the entire width of the new site in your browser window, then your computer screen is probably set to display at 800x600. By changing the display settings to 1024x768 instead, you should be able to see the entire width of the website.

Of course, the older computers and smaller screens (smaller than 17-inch monitors) will possibly not support 1024x768 (in the case of the older computers) and/or make everything too tiny to view (in the case of 14-inch screens). In these cases, there's unfortunately not much that can be done about it, except upgrading your hardware.

Assuming you've got Windows XP and your computer supports 1024x768, here's how to change it (if you're not sure whether your computer supports 1024x768, simply follow these instructions and see whether it gives you the option to change it):

  1. Right-click with your mouse on your desktop.
  2. Select "Properties".
  3. Now click on the "Settings" tab.
  4. In the bottom left you'll see a heading titled "Screen resolution" with a small ruler that you can drag to the left and right. Drag it until it displays "1024 by 768" below it.
  5. Now click on "OK".
  6. Your screen will resize and then prompt you, asking you whether you want to keep the settings. Click on "Yes".

(To change back to your old screen size, follow these instructions again and just select the size it was set to previously — probably "800 by 600").
