The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that the City of Tshwane has agreed to play the MTN8 first leg semi-final between Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows at Loftus Stadium.
This comes less than a day after the PSL was informed that Loftus Stadium was no longer available for the semi-final.
The reasons for this were due to the fact the City Of Tshwane's 2010 Office were running behind certain construction targets as they need to meet the deadline for next year's FIFA Confederations Cup.
However, construction work will continue during the weekend as the match will only take place in the evening.
The PSL CEO Kjetil Siem is pleased that the game will stay in Pretoria as initially scheduled.
"I'm extremely pleased that we have managed to keep the game at its original venue, and it's definitely a victory for the clubs, the league and the soccer in the country," said Siem.
He added: "I would like to give my endless thanks to
the people that have showed first class professionalism by listening to new input, and our explanations, and then changing their resolution.
"I also thank the City of Tshwane for their understanding and commitment to the local game and assure them that the league will continue to co-operate and assist them in their quest to meet their deadline for the Confederations Cup."
Tickets for this match have gone on sale at all Computicket outlets as well as Shoprite/Checkers Supermarkets.
Tickets cost R20 for adults and R10 for children.
