SuperSport United striker Fikru Tefera will consider himself a lucky man after he was given a suspended fine by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee (DC) for his reckless tackle in an Absa Premiership match against Thanda Royal Zulu.

The Ethiopian striker was fined R50 000 suspended for 12 months by the PSL DC after pleading guilty to the charge.

Tefera and SuperSport were ordered to submit a written apology to the tackled player and club as well as the league.

Furthermore, SuperSport and Tefera were ordered to pay the costs of the sittings.
