Want-away Jomo Cosmos midfielder Dikgang Mabalane is expected to know on Friday whether he is free to leave 'Ezenkosi' or if he will be forced to remain with the team until 2010.

According to Soccer-Laduma, Mabalane has been embroiled in a contractual battle with Jomo Cosmos owner Jomo Sono, who claims that the player still has a deal, which runs until 2010, with his team.

On Friday, handwriting experts will examine the original contract that Sono claims to have in his possession to determine the authenticity of the signature.

If these experts conclude that the signature is that of Mabalane, he will be ordered to honour his contract with Cosmos.

However, if the handwriting experts rule against Sono, Mabalane will be issued with his clearance and be declared free to join a team of his choice.

"Well, we still maintain that the player's contract with Cosmos is up. There are also a few discrepancies on the original contract that Mabalane is alleged to have signed, but the writing experts will decide," said Thabo Moloto, Mabalane’s manager.

Mabalane, who has already passed his medical examination with Brondby IF, has had his move to the Danish club put on hold pending the outcome of the case.
