Hull City manager Phil Brown has made a bid for Borussia Dortmund and Bafana Bafana winger Delron Buckley as he continues to strengthen his team.

According to Vitalfootball, Brown, who has already broken the club's transfer record with the £2-million signing of Plymouth Argyle's left winger Peter Halmosi, will look to add Buckley to provide competition for places on the left of the City midfield.

Buckley was trialed by the 'Tigers' against Winterton — a game in which he scored, but did not travel with the City side to Belgium.

"We've got a bid on the table for Delron Buckley with Borussia Dortmund and we're waiting on that one," said Brown.

The deal is expected to be negotiated over the coming days as Hull continue to add new faces to their squad ahead of the new season.
