After putting fifteen players out to pasture at the end of the 2007/08 Absa Premiership season, Orlando Pirates have continued with their player clearout ahead of the start of the 2008/09 Absa Premiership.

The latest players to be put on the transfer list are Francis Chansa, Thulasizwe Khuzwayo, Manuel Bucuane, Garry McNab, Clifford Maphutha, Cavann Sibeko and Dira Laka.

Pirates administrative officer Floyd Mbele wished all the released players the best of luck in their future endeavours.

"They are good players and can still make a big difference and contribute positively at their new clubs," Mbele told the official Pirates website.

Mbele also revealed that Pirates were currently in negotiations with several clubs over the possible movements of players on the transfer list, but said they were ready to listen to any new enquiries.

"We are currently in talks with some teams that have signalled their interest for the services of our players. Some are still observing the players and making final assessments before committing.

"However, I would like to point out that the club is still open to listen to any enquiries as we hope to find the players clubs before the closure of the transfer window," concluded Mbele.
