BidVest Wits have announced that they have acquired the services of former Bush Bucks striker Phikolethu Spelman.

The 'Clever Boys' completed the signing of Spelman from Winners Park on Friday.

"The lithe and mobile striker impressed the technical staff a great deal in the 'Clever Boys' fixture against Winners Park in the Nedbank Cup last season," read a statement on the official Wits website.

"Discussions with a view to his acquisition have been underway for some time but Winners Park were reluctant to let the player go if there was going to be any chance of making it to the Premiership," the statement continued.

Meanwhile, Wits have decided not to renew the contract of striker Kenwyn Manuel. Manuel has since joined Santos as a free agent.
