New Bloemfontein Celtic coach Mich D'Avray insists that it is still too early for him to say which areas at the club need reinforcement ahead of the 2008/09 season.

Speaking to the Celtic website's Khaya Ndubane, D'Avray - who started work this week only - said that he would have a better picture in terms of possible recruitment after this weekend's Phakisa tournament.

"But having said that, I want to give all the players I have a chance to put up their hands first before I go looking for new players," he stressed.

Asked about his plans for 'Siwelele' next season, D'Avray replied: "My short-term plan is to steer the Celtic ship in the right direction as I feel that the direction they are facing now will not take the club anywhere.

"My long-term goal is to turn Celtic into a championship-winning team. Celtic are a big team and I feel that they should be competing for everything in the league."

D'Avray, meanwhile, also promised all Celtic supporters that he would "dedicate my heart and soul in making sure that I bring smiles to their faces".

He warned, however: "But having said that, I'm not a magician, success takes time and what I really need from them is patience."
