Blue Bulls and Springbok hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle will make his comeback from injury on Tuesday in club rugby when he runs out for Tukkies in a Carlton Cup match against Centurion.

Ralepelle has been plagued with injuries for some time, and seriously injured his knee last year.

He has played only one match in 2008 after again hurting a knee in a training run and then sustaining an unrelated injury to the same knee during the Blue Bulls' captain's run prior to the first Vodacom Cup match in February.

There is a feeling in Pretoria that the Springbok hooker, who captained the Springboks against a World XV in 2006, was being thrust into action for transformation purposes when he wasn't fully fit.

Blue Bulls coach Frans Ludeke had previously undertaken to phase Ralepelle into the provincial team after some club rugby — on condition, of course, that his form was good enough.

The Blue Bulls have a bye this week and the players have been granted a few days off.

They will start their preparations on Monday, for the August 1 match against the Falcons.
