It might not be time to trash the Currie Cup entirely, but it sure is time to change
the format...
Dollie may get some wing

South Western Districts (SWD) Eagles coach Phil Pretorius is eyeing Western Province flyhalf Isma-eel Dollie to replace retired Nel Fourie.
Fourie has had to retired after doctors advised him to quit after he suffering several concussions during his career.
With Fourie out of the picture Pretorius has no goal-kicker to rely on.
"We urgently need somebody to stand in for Fourie. Poor goal-kicking cost us several matches the last three seasons. That is why Fourie's retirement is such a big blow to us.
"We can no longer afford to have a 40 percent goal-kicking record. This is just not good enough at this level.
"Dollie seems to be out of favour with Rassie Erasmus. If he is thinking of leaving I would love to have him in my team. He is such a talented player," Pretorius said.
Dollie, who was a member of the Springbok training squad in Stellenbosch last month, is currently with the South African Emerging team in Romania
and it is not clear if he has taken any decision regarding his future.
Although the Eagles play in the First Division — just below the Currie Cup competition — Dollie is certain of a place in the starting line-up.
He must now decide whether he wants to be part of the First Division or not getting game-time at all.
