Bafana Bafana coach Joel Santana has been forced to revise his 2010 African Cup of Nations squad for the crucial second leg qualifier against Nigeria next month after goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez was ruled out with injury.

Fernandez has been replaced by Orlando Pirates Moeneeb Josephs.

According to Bafana's team manager, Sipho Nkumane, Fernandez has not recoverd from the injury which saw him miss the international friendly against Australia in London last week.

"Rowen is therefore no longer in the team to face Nigeria. As a result of this, Bafana Bafana team doctor, Ephraim Nematswerani, is in contact with his counterpart at the player’s club in Germany arranging for a second opinion on the player over the reported injury. This follow up procedure will be conducted in Germany by a doctor of our choice in line with FIFA rules," Nkumane said.
