Peter McLachlin posted his first career win by shooting a two-over 74 in the fourth round of the USPGA Reno-Tahoe Open on Sunday.

McLachlin finished the tournament at 18-under-par 270 and breezed to seven-stroke victory.

Playing his 52nd career USPGA Tour event, McLachlin had just three top-10 finishes — although two of them came this year at the Sony Open and AT and T Classic.

The 29-year-old McLachlin put himself in solid position to record his first win on Saturday when he fired a six-under par 66 take a commanding six-stroke lead into the final round.

England's Brian Davis finished tied for second with John Rollins of the United States. He carded a three-over on Sunday and finished 11-under for the course. Rollins played a bogey-free final round for an 11-under.

Martin Laird, Harrison Frazar, Eric Axley and Ryan Palmer tied for fourth at 10-under.
