The assault case against Teazers' owner Emmanuel "Lolly" Jackson was
postponed by the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Friday to 18 July for
representations.
The presiding officer in the case said it would only be after
representations that a trial date could be set.
Jackson is alleged to have assaulted a former employee at his
Rivonia strip club.
He handed himself over to Sandton police on 10 April and he was
detained for about eight hours before being granted bail.
At the time, his lawyer said Jackson denied the charge and claimed
he had been unlawfully arrested and detained.
After his court appearance Jackson said the employee was
"disgruntled" and wanted to get back at him.
"You'll remember this person was dismissed from Teazers for his
behaviour," he said.
He also said that the incident occurred three months before it was
reported.
