The retail price of all grades of petrol will rise by 55 cents a litre to R9.46 per litre next week, the minerals and energy department said on Wednesday.

The wholesale price of diesel 0.05 percent sulphur would increase by 71 cents per litre while diesel 0.005 percent sulphur would go up by 72 cents.

The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin would rise by 55.5 cents a litre and the single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin by 74 cents a litre.
