It's official: with a top speed of 330km/h, the ZR1 is the fastest production Corvette ever.
This means it covers the 0-100km/h sprint in 3.4 seconds and covers a quarter mile in 11.3 seconds, making it significantly quicker than the blazing ZO6.
"The ZR1 is an incredible machine by any measure," reckons Ed Peper, North American Vice President, Chevrolet. "There’s simply no other vehicle in the world that does a better job of balancing performance, price and fuel economy."
The ZR1's supercharged 6.2-litre small-block engine returns consumption figures of 14 litres per 100km during city driving.
Although completely performance orientated, the ZR1 does have some luxury options such as heated, leather trimmed seats, side airbags, Bose audio system, navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity and chrome wheels.
Want one? Pity, the Corvette isn't available in right hand drive for the South African market.
