It's due to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, but official pictures and specifications of the Fiat 500 Abarth have already been leaked.

The high performance variant of Fiat's popular hatch, is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo four-cylinder engine pumping out 100kW at 5500rpm and 206Nm of torque at 3000 rpm in Sport mode.

In Normal mode, the 500 Abarth produces 180Nm of torque at 2500rpm.

To transfer all that torque to the road effectively, the Nuova 500 features the company's new Torque Transfer Control system.

Visually, the hot hatch gets a full bodykit that consists of a front spoiler, side skirts, and rear bumper where a pair of exhaust tips extend through a diffuser insert.

The scorpion Abarth logo shows up on the nose, rear quarters, boot and five-spoke wheels with their silver and red accents.

That red continues on the side stripes, brake callipers, rearview mirror and the interior — red seats with matching door panel inserts.
