Mangoes to make you beautiful

Not only are they deliciously juicy and sexy to eat, mangoes are ideal for buffing up your skin, especially after a windy day in the sun… The mango's natural fruit enzymes are great for rejuvenating and replenishing your skin and are rich in vitamin A, which feeds it.

What better excuse to peel a mango than to look smooth and silky before a night on the town? Not to mention that oh-so-gorgeous tropical paradise kind of smell…

There are all sorts of products available out there, and there’s no excuse not to transform your pre-party shower into a mango-infused spa session.

A good place to stock up on mango products is the Body Shop. Turn on the taps and wallow in the hot steam with their Mango Shower Gel and Soap.

For a hydrating scrub, try the Mango Body Scrub and once that skin is shiny and silky, step out, towel yourself gently, then smooth on their signature Mango Body Butter, so your skin smells of the tropics and looks as gorgeous as an ice cold Brutal Fruit at sunset.

For extra kissability and shine, use Mango Lip Balm over your lipstick and keep it in your bag to quickly reapply when you most need it.

Nothing beats the nourishing properties of mango to get rid of that red face that comes after a windy day in the sun. Try this overnight treatment straight out of sunny California to restore evenness and lost nutrients. You need:

  • 1 cup aloe vera gel
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mango
  • 1 lime, juiced

Puree the aloe vera gel, chopped mango, and the juice of one lime. Chill the mixture, and apply to face at night with clean cotton pads. The toner will feel slightly sticky from the exfoliating sugars in the mango. Leave on overnight, and rinse in the morning with cool water. Keep it in the fridge to use when you need it — it’ll keep for about two weeks.
