L'Oreal Paris has announced that renowned South African actress — Terry Pheto — will join their international list of Dream Team spokespersons.
Terry Pheto catapulted into the limelight playing her first film role as the female lead in Tsotsi which won an Academy Award in 2006 for Best Foreign language Film. Her sheer perseverance and hard work, as well as a deep-rooted love for acting, placed her as one of South Africa's leading actresses. With award-winning productions under her belt, Terry has shown her talent both on and off screen.
The dynamic 20-something actress competed against hundreds of candidates for the title of L'Oreal Paris Spokesperson, but it was her youthful and charming spirit coupled with her gorgeous skin that made her stand out from the rest.
General Manager for L'Oreal Paris Consumer Division, Han Lorskens says: "Terry Pheto undoubtedly embodies the L'Oreal Paris brand philosophy of beauty, glamour, innovation and technology, and we are delighted to have her on board representing our products to the younger market.
She will be an inspiration to all young people wanting to achieve their goals and we look forward to a successful relationship in the future."
"As the national spokesperson for L'Oreal Paris, this endorsement deal between Terry Pheto and L’Oreal Paris is history in the making! For the first time L'Oreal is launching a product unique to dark skins, presented by a uniquely South African endorser. Pheto will act as the brand ambassador for the Even Perfect Skin Care Range," continued Lorkens.
"I am extremely honoured to be appointed as the national spokesperson for one of the largest and leading global cosmetics houses. It's a mark of distinction to be associated with other leading international L’Oreal spokespersons such as Jane Fonda, Claudia Schiffer, Pierce Brosnan, Andie MacDowell and Aishwarya Rai to name a few," says Pheto.
