Jon Voight has signed up to play a baddie in '24', the veteran actor's favourite TV show.
The 69-year-old, most recently seen on South African screens in 'National Treasure 2', will debut in a two-hour episode to be shown ahead of the show's seventh season.
It is believed that the prequel episode, to be shown in the US in November, is currently being filmed in Cape Town.
"I am thrilled and excited about being invited to be part of my favourite show '24'. I'm hoping to bring my very best to it," said Voight, father of Angelina Jolie.
Apart from his duties in the extended episode, the star of '60s classic 'Midnight Cowboy' will return in the second half of season seven.
