Christian Bale will not face assault charges following allegations that he attacked his mother and sister.
The 34-year-old Batman star, who was arrested following the premiere of hit film 'The Dark Knight' last month, has been cleared of the charges brought against him by 61-year-old Jenny and his sibling Sharon.
The pair reported Bale to police following an alleged altercation, and accused the actor of lashing out at them during the argument at the Dorchester Hotel.
Bale was questioned by officers for four hours before being released pending an investigation.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokesperson confirmed: "We have advised the Metropolitan Police that the actor Christian Bale should not face any charges.
"While the CPS treats all incidents which take place in a domestic context seriously, it is important the views of complainants are taken into account.
"There is insufficient evidence to afford a realistic prospect of conviction."
