Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have had matching tattoos to signify their love for each other.

The couple — who reportedly started dating late last year — showed off black love hearts on their left hands as they arrived back in Los Angeles after spending time with Samantha's family in Miami.

Lohan, who had a white heart inked on her hand — between her thumb and index finger — in 2006, had it outlined in black, while Ronson had an identical symbol etched onto her hand.

The 'Mean Girls' actress also had a red star inked on her right hand, to match the red stars Ronson has tattooed on her right arm.

Before going to Miami, the couple had been to the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, where Ronson DJed.

They were "very affectionate" and "very much in love", according to onlookers.

Lohan and Ronson have always shared an interest in body art.

In March, the 22-year-old actress hosted a photograph exhibition in New York's Sky Terrace displaying pictures Lohan felt matched the mood behind her tattoos. Ronson DJed at the exhibition.
