Madonna is looking at ten orphan girls in Malawi as she attempts to find a suitable sister for her adopted son David Banda.
Aides for the 50-year-old singer's charity Raising Malawi have been busy emailing photos in an operation called 'Madge Idol'.
The '4 Minutes' singer hopes the new arrival will bring stability to her troubled marriage to Guy Richie.
A source at the charity told the Daily Star Sunday: "Three orphanages have been visited already and photographs have been sent to her.
"It is thought we are already down to a short-list of ten girls aged between six and 18 months. Some staff have ironically named the scouting mission 'Madge Idol' after the TV talent contest."
Madonna's troubled marriage has also been hit by reports of a relationship with American baseball player Alex Rodriguez (33).
A pal said: "Perhaps adopting another child could be that spark they need. When they adopted David two years ago he brought the family together.
"He was like a relationship glue that stuck them together."
