Patrick Swayze has reportedly been bombarded with new acting projects following his miraculous recovery from pancreatic cancer.

The 55-year-old star, who shot to fame in 1987 playing the male lead Johnny Castle in hit film 'Dirty Dancing', was diagnosed with the disease in March, and given weeks to live.

However, Swayze seems to have bounced back from his illness after an intense course of chemotherapy, and recently returned to the set of his cop series, 'The Beast'.

With the news of his good health, Hollywood producers are now trying to convince Patrick to return to the big screen in a sequel to the cult dance movie.

An insider told The Daily Express: "It's great news Patrick is so well and there are a lot of offers for him.

"Everyone wants him to star in a 'Dirty Dancing' sequel. It's just a matter of him making his mind up."
