Madonna is trying to reunite old flames Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake onstage during her world tour.

The 'Like A Virgin' singer wants the pair, who were teen sweethearts, to collaborate at the grand finale of her 'Sticky & Sweet' tour.

Britney is already on board and has filmed a cameo, which will be beamed onto huge screens and used as a stage backdrop. She is also rumoured to be doing a few surprise performances on certain dates.

Madonna is now desperate to get Justin Timberlake on stage as well, as he has been greatly involved in recording her current album, 'Hard Candy'.

Madonna's real ambition is to shock everyone and have the pair — who parted ways in 2002 — perform alongside her at the big ending to her last show in Miami in November.

An inside source revealed: "Madonna is always trying to raise the bar and Britney and Timberlake on the same stage would be perfect.

"They have both been asked but I think both are a bit reluctant. Britney would find it all a bit emotional and JT might not fancy it.

"More likely is that they both appear on different dates. But if anyone can make this happen it’s Madonna."
