Amy Winehouse has been discharged from The London Clinic where she has received treatment for symptoms of emphysema for the past two weeks.

After the soul singer’s success at Glastonbury and Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebration, doctors have decided that she is well enough to continue her recovery at home.

Amy’s spokesperson said: "Amy did return to hospital after her Glastonbury performance but her doctors recommended that she continue as an outpatient.

"She was allowed to leave for the performances and it was felt that this went really well. As her treatment is coming to a close it was decided she should return home.

"The next date for her is the Oxygen festival in Dublin on July 12 and I know she’s really looking forward to that. Then there are other dates, including Bestival in September.

"The idea was to book lots of one-off dates that she can enjoy doing this summer. She loves performing."

Meanwhile, a team of 20 sculptors are set to immortalise Winehouse in wax for the Madame Taussauds Wax Museum.

In order to replicate the 'Back to Black' songstress, including her signature beehive and many tattoos, it will cost £100 000.

Museum manager Edward Fuller explained: "We are really pleased to be creating Amy. Feedback for her inclusion just keeps growing."
