The SA-bred, LA-based Seether are returning home for a four-date, countrywide tour.
Kicking off at Cape Town’s Grand Arena at Grand West Casino & Entertainment World on 15 June, the band will then be performing at Johannesburg’s Standard Bank Arena on the 16th, Durban’s Wave House on the 20th, and finally the Port Elizabeth’s UPE Indoor Sports Centre on 21 June 2008.
The internationally acclaimed band, who last played here in 2006, with Metallica, Collective Soul, Simple Plan and The Rasmus, head home at the tail end of their extensive European tour, with highlight performances at Germany's Rock am Ring Festival and England's Download Festival.
"I love coming back to SA to play shows. I always feel so proud walking out onto a stage with SA fans in front of me. It's a different audience. It's very powerful. It's very emotional performing back home. I love it," explained front-man Shaun Morgan Welgemoed.
Morgan will be joined on the tour by band members drummer John Humphrey and bassist Dale Stewart, as well as touring guitarist Troy McLawhorn (formerly of the bands Dark New Day, doubleDrive, Still Rain and Evanescence).
Tickets are available from Computicket on 083 915 8000, www.computicket.com and outlets countrywide.
